个人经历
乔治·墨菲1902年7月4日生于康涅狄格州。曾参加海军，退役后考入耶鲁大学。1927年打入百老汇，30年代开始在歌舞片和爱情片中出演角色，之后转入正剧角色。1952的告别演艺生涯。
主要影片有《女人陷阱》、《小红伶》、《断鸿零雁》、《龙凤新配》、《西线平魔》等。
1992年5月因白血病死于佛罗里达。
