早年经历
西协美智子出生于日本千叶县，成长于东京，10多岁开始进行体操及排球训练，后来为了练好身材进入健美界，练成一身肌肉后曾连续三次获得健美冠军和举重冠军 ，而且拥有两间和哥哥合资的健身中心。西协美智子
演艺经历
1985年，西协美智子凭其健美形象出演了由洪金宝执导，洪金宝、成龙、元彪等主演的动作喜剧片《福星高照》，因此引起香港影坛关注 。
1988年，参演了由黄岳泰执导，杨丽菁、藤冈弘、翁世杰主演的动作片《皇家师姐3：雌雄大盗》 。1989年，参演了由王晶执导，周润发、刘德华、王祖贤等主演的赌片《赌神》，饰演龙刺身女“菊子” 。
1990年，与林正英、林俊贤、苗侨伟等主演了由林正英、董玮执导的恐怖电影《驱魔警察》，饰演利用死人运毒的日裔邪教女老板。

1996年，参演了由张玲、杨紫琼、郑佩佩等主演的动作片《颠峰斗士Ⅱ》；此后，退出香港影坛，转往美国担任动作替身和小角色演出。
1998年，参演了由李连杰、梅尔·吉布森、丹尼·格洛弗主演的动作片《致命武器4》 。1999年，参演了由金·凯瑞主演的喜剧电影《月亮上的男人》，并参与了特技演出。
2003年，参演了由阿德里安娜·巴比欧主演的动作片《鬼谷恩仇录》 ；此后，西协美智子都是以特技演员的身份参加电影拍摄。
个人生活
1996年，西协美智子结婚生子，定居美国加州Moorpark 。
