在罗素兄弟和制片人凯文费吉的访谈中,主创的描述是,Tony was really vested in killing Bucky。在Collider Heroes的采访中,罗素兄弟将最后一幕描绘为,one character trying to kill the other while the third trying to stop the murder。
(有些同学对tony was really vested in killing bucky这句话有疑义。说明一下出处为,罗素兄弟和凯文费吉参加的广播访谈,听写为:
Chris Hewitt:Fantastic. Okay. So now the big question is out of the way. As you know, we’re going to be talking spoilers in this. I think it’s very interesting where you end this movie, where you lead the characters. I think famously, Civil War, the comic book arc ends with the death of Cap. I think a few people thought that that’s where you might be going with this movie. Was there ever any consideration about doing that?
Joe Russo:It just seemed like—frankly, it just seemed like an easy ending to this film, you know? We thought a more complicated ending would be ones that the characters had this very emotionally cathartic third act were Tony was really vested in killing Bucky. And Cap and he traded and put some pretty severe blows that would be more interesting to see how—what the ramifications of that would be moving forward on their relationship and killing Cap ends that conceptually. You know, suddenly there’s a guilt factor in Tony’s part and which we felt wasn't quite as complicated as these two characters having to deal with each other moving forward.
