Jack Davenport was born in 1973 and is the son of actors 玛丽亚·艾特肯 and 奈杰尔·达文波特. He studied Literature and Film Studies at the University of East Anglia. His first break happened after he wrote to 约翰·克立斯 to ask to be a runner on 凶猛动物 (1997) where he ended up playing a zoo keeper.
