Yuriy Levitin is Russian, Soviet composer. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1965). People's Artist of the RSFSR (1980).In 1935 Levitin graduated from the Leningrad Conservatory in piano, in 1937 - he also had graduate school. In 1942 he graduated from the Leningrad Conservatory in the composition class of D. D. Shostakovich. Yuriy Levitin began his creative career in 1937.
