Fanny Mallette grew up interested in judo, but became interested in theatre and is a graduate from the Conservatoire d'art dramatique de Montreal. She also went to L'Ecole de theatre Les Milles Visages, as well as the CEGEP St-Laurent where she specialized in dramatic arts, before enrolling in and subsequently graduating from the National Theatre School in 1998.
