早年经历

1985年，在小金井市立绿中学校就读初中一年级的中山美穗在东京原宿街头被星探发掘后踏入演艺界。后在中学3年级时因演艺活动非常频繁，转学至东京都板桥区立板桥第五中学直至毕业。升上高中后就读于东京都立北园全日制高等学校，一年级第二学期时退学。

个人生活

1991年中山美穗与演员田原俊彦发展为恋人，于1992年分手。同年中山美穗结识作曲家井上Yoshima但交往一年后分手。1999年，中山美穗结识形象设计师野口强并发展成恋人关系，之后于2001年分手。

2001年，中山美穗结识歌手兼芥川奖作家辻仁成，恋爱8个月后结婚。随后搬到巴黎定居，并于2004年产子。2014年，这段婚姻关系破裂，中山美穗与辻仁成离婚。
