人物生平
亨利·马尔尚出生在马萨诸塞州的玛莎葡萄园，1762年从费城学院（现宾夕法尼亚大学）获得了文学硕士学位。1767年，他通过阅读法律获得律师资格。1767年至1777年，他在罗得岛的纽波特从事私人律师。从1771年到1777年，马尔尚是罗得岛首席检察官。
从1777年到1779年，他是大陆会议的代表，也是代表罗得岛的美国《邦联条例》签署人。
1780年至1784年，他在罗得岛的南金斯敦（SouthKingstown）务农的同时，又回到了私人律师实务所。从1784年到1790年，马尔尚是罗得岛州议会的代表。
主要贡献
担任大陆会议代表，签署美国《邦联条例》，成为美国开国元勋。
