MeMeLai,有时候也被写成MeMeLay，1952年出生在缅甸，母亲是缅甸人，父亲是英国人。在十多岁的时候移居英国，随后就从电视连续剧《PaulTemple》和《JasonKing》开始了她的艺术生涯。然后，再由电视剧转向电影拍摄。她的第一部电影是1971年的恐怖片《CrucibleofTerror》，紧接着在1972年又拍摄了《AuPairGirls》。Lai自从1971年主演了由UmbertoLenzi导演的IlPaesedelSessoSelvaggio,和1977年主演了由RuggeroDeodato导演的UltimoMondoCannibale的两部流派电影后，从此进入了属于她的意大利食人族电影时代。除了食人类型的电影，她也在1978年出演BlackEdward的喜剧RevengeofthePinkPanther。MeMelai在20世纪70年代与RobertHarbin一起主持Yorkshire电视台的游戏节目TheGoldenShot和SaleoftheCentury。她最后的电影是1984年LarsvonTrier的导演的TheElementofCrime（《犯罪元素》）。
