Rui-Yang Lin was born on May 21, 1960 in Luodong, Yilan, Taiwan. He is an actor and assistant director, known for 卧虎藏龙 (2001), Dou ya meng (1981) and 竹篱笆外的春天 (1985). He has been married to 张庭 since 2010. They have two children.
