Born in Amsterdam, New York, William Kronick graduated from Columbia College, then served in the U. S. Navy as a Photographer's Mate. He enjoyed a long career as a filmmaker, beginning with his apprenticeship to Ingmar Bergman at Svenskfilmindustri Studios, Stockholm.
